‘super angry birds’ slingshot controller by hideaki matsui and andrew spitz

copenhagen-based designers hideaki matsui and andrew spitz have designed ‘super angry birds’, a USB controller for angry birds that replicates the feeling of using a real slingshot. the device simulates all the functions found in the game, where you can adjust the pull, the angle, and of course trigger the special power of the bird. programmed in max/MSP and arduino, a hacked motorized fader found in audio mixing consoles, duplicates the force you would feel when using a slingshot. the hardware used is managed through music & motors, an arduino-based micro-controller developed by the copenhagen institute of interaction design.
