dominic wilcox: speed creating
dominic wilcox: speed creating
the newest project from UK-based designer dominic wilcox is entitled 'speed creating',
in which he designed something creative each day over a period of 30 days. at home, in the studio,
on the train... wherever he was, wilcox made something out of materials he had around him.
this just a look at some of the objects he created over the 30 day period.

day 15: football smoothie maker
wilcox wanted to develop a previous smoothie making idea and see if it would really work...

inserting fruit into the smoothie maker

some more fruit...

add some yogurt and...

kick-off!

after the match, your smoothie is ready

pencil shelf
day 27: pencil shelf
a shelf made from more than 200 colored pencils which have been glued together into two layers.

inflated socks
day 28: inflated socks
to create these lamps, wilcox inserts a balloon into a sock, inflating it until the sock stretches to its
fullest capacity. then, he coats them in clear resin in order to maintain the shape and add strength.

onion rings
day 29: onion ring fabric
just as the name implies...
admiring the looped shape of the addictive deep fried treats, he glued them together to create a fabric.
