perception of balance and gravity.' each of the five steel pieces measures 14m x 4m, with a thickness of 13 cm,
you can see the making of video on the monumenta site. the show will only be open until june 15th.
pandora design recently launched 'debeauty' a aline of limited edition plastic utensils. under the art direction of
daniela danzi, the new collection features a distinctly renaissance look, complete with skulls and all. the cutlery

products which they displayed at the grand hotel de milan during milan design week 2008. it makes you wonder
if someone would really throw these plastic pieces out after a single use.

'sitting chairs' by lucas maassen is one of the many designs featured in the museum of modern art's exhibit,
'design and the elastic mind'. the project brings the simple form of the chair to life through subtle additions.
small human characteristics such as feet or a kneeling chair add a touch of whimsy to the otherwise mundane
forms. long time designboom readers may notice that the 'sitting chairs' bare a striking resemblance to an entry
in our 2005 teenage furniture design competition. the entry actually belongs to maassen, who created a variation
on the 'sitting chairs' specifically for teenagers.
