chris held: persian pallet

persian pallet by chris held
detail

visual artist chris held of portland-based design house von tundra (oregon, USA) has created
a piece that mimics the aesthetics of a persian rug--except, in this case, on a dry-erase white board.
co-created with american artist andrew vomhof, 'persian pallet' makes use of an industrial
shipping pallet, transforming it in to an interactive art piece.

Very cool. We have been doing that since our kids were little. To make it more accessible - we found that you could simply buy the sidewall for a shower installation at a big box hardware store and it is virtually the same thing as a dry erase board and much cheaper.

After more than five years and 87,000 miles, samples had been taken from 955 whales. The samples were sent for analysis to marine toxicologist John Wise at the University of Southern Maine. DNA was compared to ensure the animals were not tested more than once.
