the leaves as a small cluster all images by gustavo sanabria

finding a place in madrid in which to experience autumn at its best is a bit of a challenge, but luzinterrupus did in a park far away within the moratalaz district.

gathering just after midnight, they enjoyed 3 hours of pure serenity, sitting amongst the fallen leaves developing their installation. ‘an almost ephemeral autumn’ consists of 200 dry leaves which have been lit and lifted from the ground (wire was used to stailize them), until it appeared as if a soft breeze of light made the fallen leaves rise into the air.
