ramfort complex: a modern workspace for iran

The Ramfort Complex, a newly designed work for Abhar, Zanjan, Iran, is an example of modern architectural thinking by architecture studio Team Group. The project, a commercial-administrative complex, is planned to introduce a revival of the existing urban fabric by bringing a contemporary approach that respects the city’s historical character. Recognizing the challenges posed by the area’s existing architecture, the design team adopted a cautious approach to the scheme. The goal was to create a building that would not only be visually modern — with its facade characterized by a luminous, folded screen — but also integrated into the surrounding urban environment.

team group’s Symbolic and Transparent Facade

The facade of the Ramfort Complex is a sculptural feature along the streetscape, envisioned by the architects at Team Group to be at once symbolic and transparent. The fragmented appearance of the facade reveals the underlying simplicity of the structure, while also hinting at the dynamic interior. At the heart of the building, a dual composition emerges which creates a sense of depth and dynamism. This interior design reflects the architects’ desire to create a bold and memorable space that would stand out from the surrounding buildings.
